The Community Health Dashboard is a web-based data resource center for the Fairfax community. It provides local socioeconomic and health data, links to data resources, best practices, and other information to promote community health and well-being. The intent is to give the community the tools needed to understand the public health indicators that affect the quality of life for all who live, work, and play in Fairfax. The Community Health Dashboard provides a wealth of non-biased information in one, accessible, user-friendly location. It provides information on a broad range of topics affecting the health of our community and highlights the assets in our community. The data is updated whenever source data is updated, providing the most up-to-date information of its kind.
The goals of the Community Health Dashboard are:
- To make local community data more accessible to the community; and
- To provide state-of-the-art, web-based assessment and improvement tools to encourage data-informed decisions that influence health and well-being in our community.

The Community Health Dashboard provides tools that are easy to use so that anyone is able to search for information based on topics of interest and create customized reports. It helps to assess current status across hundreds of indicators and analyze factors that may impact short- and long-term outcomes in our community. In addition, data is easily compared to national, state, regional, county, and sub-county levels, where the data is available.
